MAGGIE
BROEKMAN

Training of the horse/rider from
breaking to Grand Prix

SERVICES

Jumping + Dressage Lessons:

Each student is an individual. After assessing skill level, Maggie instructs in a warm, energetic manner based on her student’s goals—whether that’s earning a bronze medal or prepping for Olympic pre-trials. Additionally, Maggie employs her skill as a professional photographer, often taking pictures during lessons in order to offer real-time visual feedback. By doing so, she is able to develop a student’s feel and understanding.

Horse Training:

From youngsters to Grand Prix, Maggie has successfully trained and developed a number of horses. She has corrected horses with training issues, including installing changes on horses that have previously had difficulty. Especially adept at working with “problem” horses, Maggie works on the ground and in the saddle to address reactivity, sensitivity, and other challenges.

Sport Horse Photography:

Maggie’s keen eye for capturing horses and riders at the corner of athleticism and beauty earned her a place in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles as an equine events photographer. She has extensive experience photographing horses at horse shows, US and European auctions, and for sales ads.

Horse Painting

As an international artist/ competitor, Maggie captures the essence of the subject's soul in their eyes. Maggie studied veterinarian and human medicine in Germany which helps with the details of the anatomy.

This website shows some samples of her artworks.
